What to Expect at Our Gatherings

What are your Sunday gatherings like?

Open Door Fellowship’s Sunday gatherings are informal. We encourage everyone to relax, and make yourself at home. Feel free to sit at any table you are comfortable with and don't forget to grab a cup of coffee from our cafe area. Our worship gathering normally begins with a moderator welcoming everyone and sharing any announcements that are relevant. We then normally enter into a time of worship in song followed by a season in prayer for the various needs we are aware of locally and around the world. Afterwards, our pastor (or a guest speaker) will provide a thought-provoking teaching from the Bible followed by discussion around the tables about the scripture that was referenced.

What do I wear?

Attire need only be appropriate for public places and in good taste – we are striving for a casual and comfortable atmosphere. At times, children will go outside to play, so please be aware of this as you prepare your little ones to join us.

Are there children’s activities?

KidZone, which is our children's ministry, meets during the teaching time of our gathering. Children are brought back to the worship center as the main gathering winds down. If you would prefer to have your children with you, that’s perfectly fine! We do ask that if your child is sick, that they not be placed into the nursery in order to keep other children from getting sick as well.

Is there a nursery for my infant?

Yes! A nursery area is available for children under the age of 5.  Currently, our nursery is staffed on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

Can I meet with someone for prayer?

As the worship gathering comes to a close, one of our leaders try to be available in the front of the worship center to pray for any needs you would like to share with them. Feel free to ask for prayer from anyone and they will direct you to someone who would be honored to pray for you!

We Were Made for Worship

At ODF, we believe that worship is directly related to every aspect of our lives, whether it be through school, work, home or away. When we gather together at ODF, we express worship through singing, prayer, giving, music and serving one another. It’s our desire that our worship be authentic and relevant to our community so that people can see the impact of living as citizens of the Kingdom of God. It’s our hope that whether it’s through music, teaching, the body of Christ, or our children’s ministry, that our worship experience is life-giving, and relevant to a needy and hurting world.
